The Fahrenheit © 50200-22 cables are IEMMEQU marked according to CEI 20.45 ED II°and they are the first fire resistant cables in Italy certified according to the new European Norm EN 50200 (90’ at 850°C, with mechanical shock). They are specifically designed to operate during a fire, thus ensuring the operation of the installations fitted with these types of cables: they do not propagate the fire and do not release opaque fumes as well as toxic and corrosive gases. The use of these cables is mandatory in electrical emergency installations where operations shall be guaranteed during a fire during a specified period of time. They shall be used, therefore, in lighting, ventilation, fume exhaust and similar installations in public buildings such as hospitals, schools, offices, cinemas, theatres and in railway and motor-way tunnels, etc. Their use is also advisable, in the absence of other specified regulatory standards, in the following cases:
