APPLICATION
Chemical and petrolchemical plants need cables manufactured with materials specifically chosen for their resistance to potentially dangerous substances which may be present at the site, whether liquid or in form of vapours. The main problems are associated with oils, hydrocarbons and acid therefore it is necessary to use materials with specific properties of resistance to prevent rapid deterioration of the electrical, mechanical, physical and chemical characteristics of the cable. The cables are manufactured according to the customer’s specifications and may be required for working with low voltage or medium voltage. In addition to their use on land these cablesmay also be used on off-shore platforms used for loading and unloading or for extraction. Plants require energy cables and also signalling and control cables (telemetry).
